        What to bring

          Essentials to Bring

          • Comfortable walking shoes: Whether you're exploring Bo-Kaap’s cobbled streets or hiking Table Mountain, good footwear is key.
          • Light layers: Cape Town’s weather can shift quickly—bring a breathable shirt, a light jacket, and perhaps a scarf for windier spots like Cape Point.
          • Sun protection: Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed hat are musts, especially during midday excursions.
          • Reusable water bottle: Stay hydrated while reducing plastic waste.
          • Camera or smartphone: You’ll want to capture the stunning views, vibrant neighborhoods, and wildlife moments.
          • Cash and cards: For local markets, tipping guides, or spontaneous treats like a koeksister or biltong.
          • Valid ID or passport copy: Some attractions may require identification for entry

If you’re heading into nature reserves or coastal areas, consider adding insect repellent and a light rain poncho. And for wine country tours, a tote for bottles or souvenirs is always a good idea.
